Dandyish Decadence At Paul Smith

No contributor

Paul Smith, a designer who really gets menswear inspired attire for women in the chicest, sexiest form, debuted another great collection for London Fashion Week, fall/winter 2014-15. Taking inspired looks from the dandyish decadence of the late sixties, this collection is full of clashing prints from florals to paisley, tuxedo striped pajama style pants, paired with suit jackets and collared blouses.

Loungewear gets a decadent upgrade in silks, brushed alpaca, and intarsia knits. There is so much femininity given to beautiful tailored pieces from outerwear to suit separates, while evening wear is more relaxed with luxurious cashmere trousers to long knit dresses finished with pockets.

The collection has a palette of hazy psychedelia where hot pink is paired with navy, and chartreuse styled with cobalt blue and gold, while deeper hues of burgundy and green are paired with purple and gunmetal grey.  Paul Smith delivers a lot of effortless elegance and strong sensuality to his latest fete.
