Monsieur Dior’s personal style inform prints and other details, allowing staples and icons from the house’s archives to return in new forms. We’re seeing floral knits, a leopard motif, and a “CD” insignia in the form of a heart created by Marc Bohan in the 1960s. Soft silhouettes, relaxed tailoring, and a palette of muted neutrals nodded to retro styles. Even so, effortless sneakers, backward baseball caps, and buckle utility belts kept the collection rooted in the present.
Looks with a business-formal attitude were seen, too, like: black pleated trousers and a blazer worn with a white turtle neck and sneakers; a metropolitan ensemble in a warm brown hue featuring a long overcoat, matching pants, and an alligator leather bag; and a pair of white pants and a knit shirt worn with a tailored vest, sneakers, and a monogram duffle. On the casual side, we took note of logo track pants and a leather bomber in slate gray; trousers-and-knit looks styled down with Saddle bags and windbreakers; and a suite of designs taking cues from baseball uniform, like a pinstripe look with loose-fitting shorts and a button-down shirt. For a finishing touch, the new collection offered a selection of soft leather moccasins, brand new B30 sneakers, understated jewelry and sunglasses, and a series of bags—like saddle-shaped belt pouches, a shoulder tote in white snakeskin, and a utilitarian take on a messenger bag with a buckle strap.
