Ermenegildo Zegna is no stranger to sophistication or subtle detail. And this week in Milan, the luxury textile house put forth a fall/winter 2017-18 collection of note. Up close, we caught a few particular aspects that we especially enjoyed. Thick, rigid soles of shoes sat under thick ankle-stoppers on joggers, and then, men in soft pants carried wide, double-zip bags with leather gloves—all in the same peachy-pink hue. We saw a box-quilted pant leg draped over a sleek thick-sole shoe, paired with a matching blazer. There was a new plaid bag in a long, vertical shape and in a travel size, too, and a large black backpack in black leather, equipped with many pockets and compartments. Many models wore the brand’s new eyewear—both sunglasses and prescription lenses, with clean lines, solid colors, and subtle details.
