Fendi Taps Artist Sarah Coleman For the “FF Vertigo” Collection

As part of its Summer 2021 capsule, Fendi celebrates the upcoming season with a dedicated capsule collection entitled “FF Vertigo.” Injected with a joyful, uplifting mood, the new pieces are dominated by yellow and light blue tones, with items spanning eye-catching bags and accessories to compelling ready-to-wear for women, men, and children.

For the collection, the house collaborated with the New York-based visual artist Sarah Coleman, known for her disruptive manipulation of designer materials. Here, she created a new interpretation of the iconic “FF” pattern, which was revisited through a psychedelic filter. The result is a magnetic motif that offers a contemporary twist on a classic.

For accessories, the yellow FF Vertigo print is created through inkjet technology on the mineral tanned leather used for the Peekaboo bag. The same Vertigo pattern, in yellow or blue variations, is also printed on canvas, and popping up on a timeless tobacco jacquard fabric.

Both variations also grace functional shoppers and the new Baguette 1997 bag, a re-edition of the brand’s signature accessory. This time, it features slim sides and an adjustable and flappable handle to be worn under the arm.

As part of the collaboration, the brand also released a wavy new Peekaboo X-Tote and a Baguette 1997 with the FF Fisheye motif by Coleman. Additionally, we see a Peekaboo ISeeU style crafted from an FF logo padded nappa leather, which is treated to glow in the dark, inspired by the collaborative project first showcased at Design Miami.
