Four Eyes: Hiroshi Sugimoto’s Oculist Witness for Selima Optique

Luxury eyewear company Selima Optique and LizWorks, Liz Swig’s company that creates collaborations between artists and brands, have paired together to create a line of limited-edition eyewear designed by international artists. The collaboration begins with artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, who created two designs that will debuted in Paris last month.

The first design titled, Oculist Witness, premiered at Paris’ Palais de Tokyo on the 25, and will be on view through the beginning of September as part of Sugimoto‘s exhibit, “Lost Human Genetic Archive.” The glasses will be exclusively available at Selima Optique this summer. 25 limited-edition pairs in total will make up the collection, packaged in a collector’s wooden box completely crafted by Sugimoto himself.

Oculist Witness, like Sugimoto’s work, is contemporary, modern, robotic, technical, innovative, and new-wave. He even wore his creation around during the preview at Palais de Tokyo.
