Giamba Hits a Rebellious High Note

Remember the old riddle, “What’s black and white and red all over?” Well, the answer this season seems to be Giamba’s fall/winter 2016 collection. The little sister company of Giambattista Valli is revving up some funky outfits for a day or night out on the town in and black, white, and red. In Paris, the fashion line paraded some super fun looks down the runway, a nod to expressive spirits everywhere.

Rebellious zebra, polka dot, guitar, leopard, star, graffiti, and lip prints were seen spicing up a variety of materials, while baby doll silhouettes starred in a large part of the show. Sequins had a comeback and graced many pullovers, zip-up jackets, and dress sleeves. Tough outerwear took a sweet turn, and sophisticated designs took hold of rebellious details. Throughout the entire line, there was a playful mix of slimming see-through numbers, as well as oversized pieces with daring layers—for the woman with a little attitude.

The manifestation of Giamba’s newest prints and materials meshed together created several outfits that fire back with a shrug, “Sorry, not sorry.”
