Giambattista Valli Resort 2017

Giambattista Valli’s Ruffles, Fur Stripes, and Kimonos

Dainty ruffles, horizontal stripes of fur, and kimonos with extra sass were seen standing out amongst flirty and striking floral prints in Giambattista Valli’s resort 2017 collection—a deliberately delicate and full offering of looks that easily maneuver themselves from day to night.

A variety of sheer, modest, and sophisticated dresses, coats, pants, and tops were seen mixed between strappy sandals, block heels, and single-flap rectangular purses. We saw the empire waistline take a new turn with a delicate bow—seen on most of the looks in black, white, or red. We also caught a glimpse of some bright new colors—electric green, bright yellow, and red—mixed among the neutral hues of black, white, lavender, light aqua, and baby pink, in most of the flora and fauna-covered prints.

There were many romantic numbers with cutout lace, ruffle trim, and a few head-to-toe matching outfits, too—all deserving and worthy of a casual night in, or a spontaneous night out.
