Confidence is key with the always daring Alexandre Vauthier, who proved once again with his Haute Couture spring/summer2014 Collection that couture can be edgy. The collection presented in Paris last week, covered all sides of the board, allowing pieces to be worn on both chic occasions and weekend parties.
Length, color, and detail vary piece by piece to different extremes. Hems were high, draping of dresses was intensified, and cuts were looser than we’ve seen previously from Vauthier. Fabrics and patterns also varied greatly from look to look, straight down to the Christian Louboutin for Alexandre Vauthier heels on each model.
Leather dresses and mini skirts, shirtdresses, and separates contributed to the collection. Accessories also took
an audacious turn in the form of body chains, clutches attached to the ankle, and spiked necklaces.
