The spirit of spring, with a touch of contemporary glam, haunted the Christian Dior Haute Couture spring/summer 2014 collection. Inspired by a sense of freedom and mobility, both in attitude and physicality, the effortless couture produced not just a beautiful aesthetic, but a wearable one at that.
Light fabrics were cut into clean, easy shapes and embroidered onto pieces into repetitive patterns. Graphics played a huge role, as well as embellishments on clothes and accessories. Vast overlays and sheer fabrics allowed the female body to be of more of a focus in a modern Dior fashion.

The couture collection consisted of tailored jumpsuits, trousers with matching upper halves, and of course outrageous dresses for the season. And, to top it all off, Dior included a side of garnished sneakers.
