Important Jewels Auction at Christie’s Today

The sale offers a beautiful and stylish selection of signed jewels, including designs by Aldo Cipullo, Cartier, and Van Cleef &Arpels. The fine color gemstones and important diamonds vary and would appeal to any jewelry collector. Another featured jewelry collector this season is acclaimed actress Jennifer Tilly, whose interest in old Hollywood glamour inspired her to collect. Her obsession with the roaring 20s and legends, matches with Christie’s Important Jewels collection as it features many Art Deco pieces. Bold geometry patterns, avant-garde colors, and exotic influences created a revolutionary modern aesthetic. Not only does the collection have jewelry from this era, but a Cartier Art Deco Diamond and Enamel Desk Clock. And this sale is not only for the ladies, “Property of a Gentlemen” features a group of multi-gem cufflinks, as well.

We were able to attend last Friday’s preview and were amazed by the carefully curated selection. The Christie’s lot of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, multi gem purses, and much more glistened with emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds.
