Known for a Southwestern style and creative edge in menswear, Linder co-founders Sam Linder and Kirk Millar introduced their first women’s line for New York Fashion Week. The fall/winter 2017 collection revisited Millar’s Southwestern roots with natural tones, leather, and fur.
Men were in gold structured blazers and pants with a light checker print and floral detailing down to the hem. Floor-length dresses for women had leather straps across the collar bone, at the neck, and around the shoulder, while some tapered in at both sides of the waist. There was a trench coat in ostrich leather, a sleek plaid raincoat, and coats, shirts, and dresses with poncho-like sleeves, leather tassels, and horse hair detailing.
There was a sassy side of Linder that felt new this season, which we saw in a strapless black one-piece pantsuit, a high-waisted skirt and pant with nine sturdy buttons, and a long black-and-white fur coat.
