Last month, Isaia celebrated its 60th anniversary with the presentation of the house’s spring/summer 2018-19 collection in Milan. The two-day event coincided with Milan Menswear Week, taking place at the Apollo Club at Via Giosuè Borsi.
The celebration included a film screening, dinner, and even acrobats from the brand’s 2017 advertising campaign. The film kicked off the evening, directed by Gianluca Migliarotti, paid homage to the late Enrico Isaia, former head of Isaia. Later, a dinner full of Mediterranean flavors was enjoyed by guests, along with Neapolitan music and dancing into the night. Guests also got to meet Isaia’s recently created mascot, Corallino, a new comic icon.
The new collection is filled with vibrant suits that range from casual to more formal. The season’s melton fabric is also celebratory of the anniversary, decorated with a pattern of small 60s. It was presented alongside the book A Napoli Se Parla Cu’ ‘E mmane, published by Electa, unveiled at the Mondadori store on Piazza Duomo.
