Jaeger-LeCoultre Teams Up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam

By Allison Merchant

August 4, 2016

Jaeger-LeCoultre released another masterful timepiece series inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. The luxury watch maison collaborated with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to create a second series after it’s release of the Master Grande Tradition a Repetition Minutes with the miniature painting on the dial of Starry Night earlier this year.

This newest tribute to Van Gogh, Reverso à Eclipse, features an enameled miniature Selfportrait on the dial. The original artwork is currently on display at the museum in New Amsterdam.

These endeavors to merge the worlds of art and fine watchmaking originated from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Dutch boutique partner Gassan. Three components were considered for the collection including art, craftsmanship and the heritage derived from Van Gogh.
