The U.K.’s Jenny Packham showed us a whole new kind of “vintage” with her fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. Drawing inspiration from 17th-century Paris and the women that frequented the Salonnières (the ultimate in sophistication and fine taste at the time) Packham sent porcelain doll-styled models down the runway in old world princess-style glamour. Rich tones of midnight blue, scarlet reds, deep cinnamon, classic black, and lustrous opals saturated crystal beaded gowns, floor length silk and wool coats, and even knee-length form fitting jersey dresses perfect for High Tea over a black-tie affair.
