Jil Sander‘s spring/summer 2017 collection debuted in Milan over the weekend. Designer Rodolfo Paglialunga honed in on the silhouette, with a focus on voluminous shoulders and narrower skirts and pants. Models looked assertive and in-power, in strict shapes that were still worn with a sense of ease and confidence. Paglialunga played with angles and edges in blazers, bold pencil skirts, menswear-inspired shirts, and bermuda shorts. We saw pinstripes, extreme pleating, and heavy leathers and linens in peach, burnt orange, cream, yellow, and black. Whether in suiting, skirts, or dresses, the Jil Sander woman this season is sure to run the show.
