Lanvin’s Visionary New York Flagship
On July 20 in New York, LANVIN unveiled a singular flagship concept boutique on iconic Madison Avenue. Developed by the compelling artistry of Bernard Dubois Architects, the multi-dimensional Upper East Side space welcomes clients with a myriad of offerings: women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, LANVIN Lab, and an exclusive formalwear salon. In anticipation of the lively holiday season ahead, autumn will debut an ever-so-chic perennial capsule collection of cocktail attire titled Edition Soir—ideal for intimate gatherings and festive celebrations alike.
Created with Lanvin’s Legacy in Mind, from Paris to New York
Belgian architect Bernard Dubois brings a meticulous and enlightening approach, invoking his exemplary neo-modernist style into the immersive boutique for a warm and regally theatrical journey. Once crossing the threshold of the shop’s sophisticated, cosmopolitan exterior, a multi-textural cream and white sanctuary beckons. Dubois pays homage to the brand’s rich design heritage—as well as to legendary architects Eckart Muthesius and Auguste Perret—by graciously fusing Art Deco and Neoclassical elements, setting the stage for LANVIN’s modern yet ethereal garments.
What Lanvin is Known For? A Symphony of Fashion, from Sneakers to Perfume
Softly structured jackets and gossamer gowns are suspended from geometric columns, layered against champagne-hued drapes and walls which ebb and flow dramatically in hypnotic, vertical patterns. Sculptural handbags and elegant footwear are on view atop sleek surfaces of limestone and marmorino, while nearby moments of hammered brass and café au lait velvet orchestrate a supremely heaven-sent experience. The store’s opening ushers in a dynamic period for the distinguished French couture house, with opulent boutiques launching in succession across the globe in renowned and picturesque destinations such as Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Bal Harbour Shops in Florida, and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California.
