Loris Azzaro‘s fall/winter 2015-16 couture collection highlights the beauty and glamour of a well-dressed woman during the disco era. Using subtle details, designers Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejon creatively slipped in unique final touches that keep the eye fixated on the dress. For example, the interior evening look in in an orange striped pattern is contradicted by its opposite hue—royal blue, which covers the interior lining. Additionally, on almost every garment there are lines that frame or create a frame for the structure, adding to their complexity and mystery. This color blocking makes the patterns stand out and create new visual pathways in each piece, especially in the cream and white dresses. The colors include rich blues, creams, and purples, with occasional hints of green, yellow or orange. The designers also played with different types of cut-outs, which, combined with the black strap lining, resulted in a fresh and unique silhouette that is perfect for the modern disco woman.
