Versatile and elegant, the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall Capsule Collection epitomizes the philosophy of the Maison. It’s clear in this assortment of cashmere overcoats, leather bomber jackets, and velvet tracksuits that creative director Pharrell Williams is adhering to the signposts of transitional autumnal attire while honoring his love of street style; traditional dress codes are adapted for contemporary life, befitting of weekend getaways and city life alike.
Honoring the Legacy of South Korean Painter Park Seo-Bo
The capsule is a collaboration with the estate of the late South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo, who garnered international acclaim for his minimal yet graphically significant lines. Before his death in 2023, Seo-Bo became the first Korean artist to partner with Louis Vuitton when his work was adapted for one of the maison’s iconic Capucine bags. In this new capsule, four paintings from Seo-Bo’s Écriture series are translated onto richly colored jacquards. Each piece in the capsule collection features a tag in the style of the painter’s signature—a detail echoed in the typography of tops. Memorably, there is also a black velvet shirt featuring a pattern adapted from one of Seo-Bo’s Écriture paintings dating back to 1996.
A Rich, Experimental Capsule Inspired by the Artist’s Visual Language
The result is a collection of garments that toy with our perception as they shift, from micro-pinstripes to shiny monogram leather. Epi, the maison’s emblematic textured leather, arrives on utilitarian beige blousons and cropped red double-breasted suits. In leather goods, Seo-Bo’s visual language is imagined for the first time in corresponding vertical lines, stretching across Epi leather in rich colorways including air blue, maple red, and neon green. Bags are lined with beige, nodding to traditional Korean hanji paper, while the LV Trainer Maxi sneakers are reimagined in light blue and neon green calf leather.
Louis Vuitton Emphasizes Its Meticulous Attention to Detail
The label’s Monogram Macro is emblazoned across the leather panels of a black suede blouson, a gray denim suit, and a mocha windbreaker. Classic scarves are adorned with the LV Blason pattern, while wrap-able mini Comfy Scarves in ribbed knit with LV logos come with matching beanies. Each piece in this capsule signifies both comfort and sophistication. Even in the splashiest, most vibrant colorways, soft and luxurious materials are employed; tailoring remains understated.
