If you’re in Miami for Art Week, do yourself a favor and visit the Louis Vuitton boutique in the Design District, where you’ll find not only the house’s Objets Nomades series, but the its new Exotics collection, too. The brand debuted the colorful skins and leathers there for the first time, and the accompanying installation (get ready to be transported to an exotic, vibrant rainforest) will make it worth the trip.
Displayed alongside the latest additions to the Objets Nomades and Les Petits Nomades collections (also present at Design Miami/), visitors will find a variety of handbags hanging from walls of lush greenery, complemented by an Astroturf forest floor and a host of exquisite design objects. The brand also presents an in-store demonstration of the crafting of the Petite Malle Crocodile bag in celebration of the release.
The Exotics line features crocodile, lizard, ostrich, and python skins in countless sizes, colors, and styles for both men and women, including the City Steamer MM, Twist PM, and Capucines BB handbags. While some of our favorites include the Tricolore Tie & Dye Capucines Mini and the Petite Boite Chapeau in black and white crocodile, the highlight of the collection would have to be the Made-To-Order service, which allows clients to choose from six styles and twenty-five colors to have a crocodile bag crafted specifically for them in France.
