Saudi-based Womenswear Brand Madi Reveals Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

By Pearl Fontaine

April 17, 2018

Early this month in Dubai, Madi graced us with the beautiful simplicity of its new Spring/Summer 2018 collection of kaftans, tunics, skirts, and more. Influenced by her own Middle Eastern roots, Madi founder Madawi Saad created a contemporary take on traditional Saudi dress that seamlessly blends modest and flowing silhouettes with hints of Western charm.

The collection features a variety of modern prints and colors like elegant floral, rich stripes, and a black on white block pattern. Additionally, each garment pays special attention to detail with attributes like discrete cutouts, soft wrap belts, and gathered hems. Some highlights of the line include the pink floor length dress that resembles a silky robe, the sophisticatedly quirky kaftan bearing an illustrated whale print, and an elegant dress with a black lace overlay.
