Marni Prepares for a Permanent Vacation

For spring/summer 2018, Marni is putting the destiny of dressing in the hands of fate and the self-discovery that traveling, vacationing, and even day trips bring. Lost and found, by chance, and at random, garments are transformed from coincidental happenings and meetings. The journey of the guy on the go is seen in the safari jacket, trench, clerk pants, and windbreaker—all to symbolize his dreams and adventures.

On shirts, we see paintings by artist Magdalena Suarez, and for office wear, we see a casualness to it—Jamaican vibes, codes from the 20s, tailored tropical wool, and tiny sailboats on suits. There are boating-chic touches to elongated pull-overs, and a mixed use of plaid, stripes, and solid colors.
