ISAIA presented it’s fall/winter 2014 collection at Pitti Uomo last week in Florence, Italy featuring contemporary yet traditional looks inspired by the “Cucina Napoletana,” otherwise known as Neapolitan Cuisine.
The regional food features plates full of strong Italian culture in every bite. The brand, in turn, deliciously integrated the color palate and richness of the dishes into its garments. From the deep red of the tomatoes to the warm hues of ochre, the fabrics reflect the shades of different entrees with vintage 1920s fabric restored and tied in with the new fabric of a more modern touch.
The collection brings together these new fabrics with carefully selected textiles from past collections. The color and texture combinations definitely look good enough to eat!
The line features sportswear of dyed split suede and leather, sweaters with knits we’ve seen from past seasons, garments with a flannel finish, and lighter overcoats, all building on the ISAIA’s classically cutting-edge brand of sartorial splendor.
