Milan Fashion Week Celebrated Anniversaries and Femininity

Milan Fashion Week highlights Vaquera’s 10 year anniversary, Ferrari’s innovative design, and more.

Milan Fashion Week continues with an array of leading designers tackling femininity, cowboy couture, and elegant sophistication. Join Whitewall as we explore the celebration of Vaquera’s ten years of punk perfection, Ferrari’s dramatic silhouettes, and Phillip Plein’s wild west.

Vaquera Celebrates 10 Years With Punk Collection

Designers Patric and Bryn brought on new confidence in the Vaquera fall/ winter 2025 collection. As the brand continues to evolve moving from the bustling city of New York to the chic city Paris, the collection conveys a stylish sense of nostalgia. The pair of designers pulled powerful shoulder pad silhouettes, leopard print patterns and chunky pearl necklaces from the 20s and 80s to emphasize control. Drawing from the concept of the American Dream, the iconic bra emblem is enlarged, and draped over the body. The Converse Chuck is taken to the next level with a hidden wedge, and turned into a knee-high slouch boot. A partnership with D’Heygere Jewelry bought heart shaped pendants and rings to embellish the punk outfits perfectly. Andy Warhol’s iconic Marilyn Monroe print is featured on denim, tying the American punk dream together.

Ermanno Scervino Explore Femininity

The fall/ winter 2025 Ermano Scervino collection utilizes the female body as a canvas to define its feminine identity with fashion. Rather than an aesthetic, femininity becomes an extension of self, as chunky hand-knits become shearling jackets draped over delicate chiffon frocks. Traditionally masculine herringbone and houndstooth, fit hourglass blazers and dramatic coats redefining the boundaries of gender. Featured on jackets and bags the shearling, suede and nappa leather fabrics rethink contemporary femininity with grace.

Ferrari’s Officina

In a sophisticated fusion of innovation, Creative Director Rocco Lannone focused on the Officina, an artisanal workshop, in Ferrari’s fall/ winter 2025 collection. The place where everything originates, evolves, and the blueprint for all Ferrari creation. Through layers of sophistication aligning with the brand values, passions, and emotions Lannone creates a collection full of drama, exclusivity, and elegance. From oiled leathers scraped like frescoes, colored denims creating trompe l’œil illusions, and reworked knitwear, the essence of Ferrari is evoked. Gloves, eyewear, sculptural jewelry all catch light illuminating its timeless yet daring elegance.

In the extravagant rooms of the 17th-century Palazzo Acerbi, Elisabetta Franchi’s fall/ winter 2025 collection celebrates the strength of women. “Through its rooms, I wanted to bring to life a femininity that is both elegant and disciplined, assertive yet provocative,” said Elisabetta Franchi. Evoking the minimalism of the 90s, the collection curates a sensual tension of women who dress powerfully. Pencil skirts are paired with sharp biker jackets reimagining the 90s sleek aesthetic in shades of coffee brown and black. Croc-embossed faux leather jackets add a sophisticated and powerful feminine touch to the collection. “Every piece tells the story of a woman who challenges conventions with grace, never compromising her own power.” -Elisabetta Franchi

Returning to “The Plein hotel” in Milan, Phillip Plein debuts their fall/ winter 2025 collection with an electric performance by Busta Rhymes. Inspired by the wild west, the collection reimagines cowboy couture blending bold evening wear with the playful day wear.  The brand’s signature denim is featured in oversized shorts, and overcoats. Bits of retro designs peek through in American Flag patterns, merging nostalgia with vivid shades of red, blues, and greens. Standout pieces include dazzling evening gowns, Route 66-esque cowboy hats, and iconic red leather knee-high boots perfect for a journey out west.
