Missoni Infuses The Season with Details of Fearlessness

It would be against some type of fashion religion if Missoni shook their signature horizontal, vertical, and diagonal zigzag stripe pattern, for something more, dare we say, “different.” For this reason, we were glad the global, 62-year-old fashion house did not, and excited to see that instead, they revamped the colors and classic Missoni stripes to include an array of pictorial patchwork and polychrome stripes on shrugs, shoes, and swimsuits.

Long and knee-length dresses were immersed among wide pants, slim trousers, and long scarves were knotted at the back to hang over dresses. New, edgy footwear made an appearance in a flash, too. Flat sandal booties donned open stripes of multicolor calfskin, sandals were seen with two crisscross bands and two-tone striped platforms, and an exciting new exclusive partnership with Converse All-Stars was seen, making its debut with the classic zigzag fabric.

Through knits, crepon, silk, and see-through and solid materials, unusual hues of yellow, pink, and blue were seen taking new shades in mustard, ultramarine, and lilac in the blocks and openwork of each zigzag stripe.

For 2016, Missoni infuses summer outfits with details of fearlessness, and more importantly, fun.
