Missoni Wraps Up Milan Fashion Week With Swanky Knits

No contributor

Last weekend, knitwear fashion house Missoni released its fall/winter 2016 collection as part of Milan Fashion Week. Designed by Angela Missoni, this soft metropolitan collection showcased the company’s hallmark zigzag patterns and vertical stripes, creating a diverse yet united set of looks.

Oversized scarves and wraps added pops of swanky flair to rainbow loom-knit jackets and trousers. Pastel cashmere coats surprised with occasional pops of bright color, and plisse knit gowns glittered from head to toe. Standout pieces included a chartreuse fringe-layered jacket with matching knit gloves; a black-and-white coat infused with cerulean plaid; a semi-transparent silver knit evening gown; and a bulky lavender and aqua patterned floor-length wrap.
