Miu Miu brought the ‘70s back for their fall/winter 2016 collection, and showcased an array of funky chic looks.
Flared maxi coats, matching wide-wale corduroy ensembles, and high-heeled velvet ankle booties were seen mixed in among colorful wool shorts and statement waist belts. Elegant silk dresses and lace jumpsuits modernized the collection, while pantsuits, double-breasted coats, and a variety of turtlenecks and button-downs offered lace and embroidered collars, draped necklines, and tailored sleeves.
Miuccia Prada also showcased her affinity for embellishment on many of the ankle-wrap shoes, belt closures, handbags, and long-sleeved shirt-fronts, while offering a nod to the modern woman who appreciates sleeveless coats, knee-high socks, shirt dresses, and shirt panel pockets.
A few favorite looks included: a long-sleeved, high water purple lace jumpsuit with shoulder pad-like embellished collars; a velvet mauve grape dress with wrist ties, floral patterns, and an oversized white lace collar; and a sleeveless car coat-length in soft brown leather with structured arm cut-outs, and two buttons.
