Moncler Gamme Rouge captivated audiences with alpine charm at the debut of its fall/winter 2016 collection, presented at the Grand Palais this Paris Fashion Week. Models with ice-trimmed eyebrows and curled pigtails swept down the snow-brushed runway, set against a digital backdrop of blue skies and frosty gray mountaintops.
A flurry of white fur and winter knits gave the collection a cozy warmth, styled into peasant smocks, jackets, and mini-skirts. Long, sheer sleeves billowed under short dresses, dappled with edelweiss flowers like stars, and matching hats with snowball puffs capped off the looks. Standout pieces included a flared white lacy dress with a white fur collar and crystal snowflake; a red-knit turtleneck with long furred sleeves; and a floor-length knit coat with black-and-white patterning and a luxurious white fur lining.
