N°21 Presents Menswear with A Vision of Casual Freedom

By Allison Merchant

June 22, 2016

N°21 stepped away from the runway to showcase its 2017 spring/summer menswear collection with a presentation in Milan. Creative Director Alessandro Dell’Acqua wanted to emphasize the complexity of menswear in everyday life.

In 2017, the streets will vibrate with big colorful parkas with silver accent elements, Hawaiian print shirts, tech nylon jackets with beaded patches, and tartan plaid shirts. Contemporary life collided with the past as the details in the collection held references to the evolution of male culture.

The classic was renovated with basic T-shirts detailed with make-a-difference, long and short pants in brilliant tones or prints, and lace shirts with denim passementerie trim. Dell’Acqua maintained the aspiration to rebuild a man’s attire with his own personal vision of casual freedom.
