In February during New York Fashion Week, the talented women behind Noon By Noor, Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa, presented the brand’s new Fall/Winter 2018 collection. “Our collection was inspired by the whimsical starry night sky of our country, Bahrain, which we expressed through airy fluid silhouettes, luxe gold accented fabrics, and a poetic detail of an Arabic script quoting ‘to the moon and back,” said Noor.
Elegantly expressed through flowy dresses and delicate fabrics, the collection also boasted a juxtaposition with mannish tailoring and masculine shapes. Throughout the many looks, we noted an unforgettable balance.

“Staying true to the essence of our brand, we juxtaposed delicate feminine elements with sharp masculine tailored pieces that evoke modernity and comfort, thereby creating the perfect marriage of softness and strength,” said Haya.

WW: What about Baharain’s skies and history is especially inspirational for you?
NBN: Bahrain will always serve as the backbone for our inspiration. Whether it is in its long-standing history as a crossroads for civilizations or its legendary night skies, the images it stirs in our minds always leave us with a story to tell.

WW: Is there a particular standout piece in this collection?
NBN: One of our favorite looks this season is our Cavalry Twill Leann oversized coat and tailored Suzi pants in hot pink. It is always a standout moment to have tailored pieces in bold vibrant colors.

WW: What is one go-to item that you can put on each day and feel amazing? What about in this collection?

NBN: A crisp tailored shirt with an unexpected design detail exudes a great deal of confidence. Our Fall 2018 Candi shirt with Arabic script cuff detailing will definitely be one of our go to pieces.
