Old-School Rock and Glam At Gucci

By Robyn Roberts

September 24, 2014

Fittingly, supermodel Kate Moss is currently the leading lady of the Gucci campaign. Like the world famous model’s own style, Frida Giannini is also known for her love of vintage glam combined with old-school rock-n-roll, turning over collections that feel like a forbidden, but perfect love affair between a European royal and a rebellious musician.

In the spring/summer 2015 collection, that signature Gucci nod of a military green and red stripe shows up repeatedly on straps holding leather satchels paired with form-fitting suede trenches and white shirtdresses. Leather vests are Glastonbury-cool and trimmed in lush red and white fur, chicly cinched at the waist with preppy brown braided belts. Patterns run wild in fiery earth tones on short billowy dresses, and denim-inspired bandleader jackets are seriously cool with large gold buttons. Vibrant orange-red lends a definite richness to mid-length halter dresses and those with a deep plunging neckline. Gucci pieces are gorgeously made down to the tiniest details no matter the season. Each collection is more lust-worthy and undeniably cooler than its predecessor.
