Yesterday in Milan, Pal Zileri presented its spring/summer 2018 collection, inspired by the fashion house’s Veneto region roots. Both the setting and collection were inspired by the blue hues of Venice’s Café Florian. Italian sensibility was seen through over 100 of the brand’s prized swatch books from the 1980s and ‘90s, and transformed into a sophisticated and contemporary new take for the season. Craftsmanship and artisan fabrics were employed in many of the deconstructed suits, silk knits, elongated blazers, trenches, and ties. And we’re still dreaming about the dressed-down business looks well-aligned with the priorities of the 21st century man.
