Yesterday, Philipp Plein showed his spring/summer 2018 collection in Milan. The theme of the season surrounded high performance vehicles like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches. The sports cars raced around a track as the new line went down the runway runway.
Models were styled as rebels from the 1950s—there was leather, bomber jackets, and jeans. Checkered flag motifs, flames, skulls and eight-balls were found on looks straight out of Grease or West Side Story. Words like “rock,” “roll,” “love,” and “kiss” added an extra edge to the garments. The collection was fittingly dubbed #FAST&GLORIOUS, clocking in at full speed.
