Philipp Plein made its New York Fashion Week debut yesterday with its fall/winter 2017 collection celebrating New York City. The show took place with much fanfare at the New York Public Library with a special opening performance by Nas.
Taking inspiration from the neighborhoods and boroughs of the city, with streetwear like t-shirts and hoodies, high fashion looks like embroidered evening dresses and mink coats, all emphasizing a freedom of expression. Prints and patches featuring dollar bills, the Statue of Liberty, Fashion Beyond Imagination (FBI), snakeskin, flames, and flags were featured throughout.
And true to New York, all-black looks abounded with accents of red, white, metallic, and denim modeled by an array of personalities like Sofia Richie, Jeremy Meeks, Sebastian Faena, Alec Monopoly, Danny Amendola, Young Thug, Desiigner, and Fetty Wap on the runway.
