Following the launch and immediate sellout of its first Timecapsule NFT Collection in collaboration with artist Cassius Hirst on June 2, Prada has announced the launch of its second Timecapsule Collection.
The 50 NFTs in each drop are each linked to a physical gender-neutral item; for this latest Timecapsule, a shirt made from iconic printed fabric upcycled from the Prada archives, attesting to the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The shirt sports the calendar month of July on a Holliday & Brown cotton poplin tulip print and features a black color pipeline, a Jacquard Animalier silk brocade and lurex, deco-inspired Poplin Loto printed fabric, and Jacquard Thrush, a silk fabric produced from an early-20th-century French fashion archive.

The first Timecapsule Collection also debuted the “Prada Crypted” Discord server, and since then the Brand has sought to solidify its rapidly growing and inclusive online community by releasing Timecapsule drops as monthly online events, making the NFTs available on their website on the first Thursday of every month. Each limited-edition NFT is issued on the Ethereum blockchain and is redeemable from the purchase of its related Timecapsule item, which comes with custom packaging, a unique serial number, and exclusive benefits and future drop access offered to the NFT owner.
