Salvatore Ferragamo opened its first ever pop-up store in Los Angeles commemorating the company’s 100th anniversary in America. A celebration gala took place at the Annenburg Center for Photography in Los Angeles last week.
The pop-up store is housed in the Grand Hall of a former landmark post office in Beverly Hills, a historic building that complements the elegance of the luxury brand. The shop features an exclusive line of accessories designed by Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti, including handbags, shoes, and fine jewelry inspired by the energy of Los Angeles.
The collection references many of Salvatore Ferragamo’s iconic designs, such as the invisible wedge and hybrid silk sandals. The innovative designs are owed to their use of materials such as Lucite heels, hand-woven lambskin, and creative combinations of snake and suede or lizard and high-tech mesh.
The pop-up also features specially commissioned work by five artists chosen by Giornetti: Lori Scacco, Leigh Wells, Tim Marrs, Sadek Bazaraa, and Charlie Wilkin.
The pop-up shop is open to the public through November 15.
