Saudi 100 Brands Debuts at Paris Fashion Week

A new program launches for Saudi Arabian designers

For the occasions of both Paris Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week, Saudi 100 Brands—a dynamic program that champions cutting-edge Saudi Arabian designers —presents an array of inspired showrooms and events for a global audience. From its inception in 2021 by the Fasion Commission of Saudi Arabia, the initiative has guided and mentored a diverse group of skilled designers in areas such as ready-to-wear, demi-couture, jewelry, fragrance, and footwear, setting the stage for a powerful presence of Saudi Arabian creatives within the fashion industry.

Ranging from ages 20 to 70, and 85 percent female, the designers are graduates from esteemed international design institutions as well as self-taught in their respective disciplines. Visionaries such as Layla Bisharah, Rana Ismail, Yousef Akbar, and Yasmina Q, are gathered alongside innovative brands like Noble & Fresh, SAJAS, Torba Studio, and The Dropped Collection, for a sweeping display of thoughtfully curated showrooms.

Saudi Arabia joins the global fashion stage

“With such a grand showcase of Saudi fashion taking place across Paris Fashion Week, we are helping our designers take their well-deserved place on the global stage,” explained CEO of the Fashion Commision of Saudi Arabia, Burak Cakmak. “From couture to menswear to jewelry and accessories, we invite all to discover what Saudi fashion has to offer. I’m confident that our guests will leave feeling inspired by the next generation of Saudi designers who are pushing boundaries through their timeless designs. Projected to grow to more than 32 billion dollars by 2025, Saudi’s fashion scene is being led by local brands and emerging designers. We are committed to building this forward-looking fashion industry by amplifying the talented voices and culture of Saudi Arabia and expanding our worldwide reach.”

The highly anticipated “Paris Intervention” was launched on June 24, with a stunning ready-to-wear showroom unfolding at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine through June 27, amidst the buzz of Men’s Fashion Week. With diversified collections, from unisex streetwear, to avant-garde accessories, to ravishing evening wear, the deft creatives proved to have an awe-inspiring intuition for contemporary style. Luminous and colorful fabrics caressed every curve of the body, with meticulous attention to detail, form, and tailoring apparent in every single look. Sustainability and local Saudi manufacturing were given the utmost importance throughout the debut, introducing ground-breaking brands and designers like 1886, DAZLUQ, Kaf By Kaf, Not Boring, and Chador

Exploring the immersive showroom

On July 3, a couture showroom with maisons such as Pavone, Luda Jewelry, Atelier Hekayat, and Rutana Jewelry is sure to thrill at the iconic mansion and home of auction house Artcurial in the center of the “Golden Triangle” of Paris. VIP clients will embark on private couture fittings and decadent experiences, discovering singular fragrances and jeweled adornments, with the memorable day crowning in a “Couture Presentation” at the Hotel Ritz on Place Vendôme. A chic garden party, hosted by the Fashion Commission, will bring together creatives and fashion industry figureheads in a lush celebration of the bright future of Saudi talent.
