Tadashi Shoji Cruises Through California with SS18

Eliza Jordan

8 September 2017

Yesterday at Skylight Clarkson Square, Tadashi Shoji put on a soft-meets-sassy show for its spring/summer 2018 collection. Sourcing cool California vibes, full of the feeling of salty hair and sandy feet, the brand welcomed guests to cruise into the season with an open bohemian mind.

The designer took us on a journey from Malibu to Los Angeles, transitioning the materials, colors, and silhouettes appropriately. Sweet, subdued colors and prints fade to gemstone colors like jade, rose quartz, yellow opal, azurite, and agate. Off-the-shoulder and strapless dresses complemented sweet frill detailing above the knee, and fluid maxi dresses were off-set by a handful of short dresses and two-piece outfits.
