On April 2 in New York, Burberry opened the doors of a stylish haven from spring rain showers in the form of The Burberry Trench pop-up. Inspired by the Autumn Winter 2023 collection, and in anticipation of the luxury British fashion house’s majestic Fifth Avenue shop opening in June, the immersive boutique takes the form of a grand tent in a stately charcoal check, offering a myriad of sleek accessories and, of course, the brand’s iconic trench coats.
The spirited pop-up, open until May 2, stands as an homage to Burberry’s fluid connection to nature. It evokes late-19th- and early-20th-century tents as well as cosmopolitan life. In a creative fusion of tradition and modernity, the shop’s elegant windows recall the brand’s freshly designed logo, inspired by Burberry archives, as well as the re-envisioned Equestrian Knight Design.
The festive encounter brings together artisans of the brand’s Castleford manufacturing space and NY-based tailors for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience; visitors may customize their chosen trench coats with any number of chic buttons, meticulous embroidery, and conversation-starting patches, ringing in a delightful spring season, come rain or come shine.
