On September 23 in Milan, the international glitterati stepped out for a fall premiere that melded cinema and couture into one hypnotic debut. Gucci raised the curtain on The Tiger, a short film directed by Oscar-winner Spike Jonze and filmmaker Halina Reijn, set against the backdrop of Artistic Director Demna’s visionary collection for the House: La Famiglia.

A parade of select screenings will take place at Cinema Village in New York City on September 24, and on September 25 at Milan’s own Palazzo Mezzanotte.

The role is played with intensity by Demi Moore, a woman navigating her dual existence as mother and mogul. Hosting a birthday dinner at the family estate, Barbara juggles the weight of legacy and appearances while her household edges toward breakdown. Edward Norton, Ed Harris, Elliot Page, Keke Palmer, Alia Shawkat, Julianne Nicholson, Heather Lawless, Ronny Chieng, Kendall Jenner, and Alex Consani unite as a riveting ensemble, embodying both glamour and vulnerability.

As the evening unravels, the family dynamic fractures with operatic tension, and Jonze and Reijn deliver a piercing allegory of power, fragility, and reinvention. Documented in a lookbook by photographer Catherine Opie, the collection unfolds like a rapturous cast list, each look an archetype of Gucci’s sprawling family. From the passionate Incazzata in her crimson coat to the languid pleasures of Miss Aperitivo, from the razor-sharp La Cattiva to the coquettish glimmer of La Principessa, the narrative refuses singularity. Instead, it revels in multiplicity, a chorus of characters bound by the same unapologetic spirit.

On September 25, ten Gucci outposts across the globe will divinely offer La Famiglia ahead of its full in-store arrival in January. In New York, Wooster Street becomes a stage for this limited release, while Los Angeles’ Rodeo Drive shimmers with its arrival. Milan, Paris, and London anchor Europe’s unveiling, while Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore bring the collection’s theatricality to Asia. These ten stores serve as the earliest entry points into Demna’s Gucci universe—a thrilling opportunity for devotees to step into the narrative before the curtain rises fully in February.
