Valentino Exudes Grace in Pink and Red

By Eliza Jordan

March 9, 2017

Pierpaolo Piccioli is making sure one thing stays the same after his eight years co-designing with Maria Grazia Chiuri ended with her departure from the house last year—Valentino will remain unique in style and exuding the utmost grace.

The fall/winter 2017 collection was full of sumptuous colors and textures that remind us why Valentino has always been a class act, even seen in the vibrancy of every accessory, too, like the stellar handbags and clutches, studded and lace-up boots, and precious new jewelry—numerical rings, spirited necklaces, and dainty earrings.

Pink and red tones popped throughout the season, as we saw the shades make their way onto many of the dresses, coats, and shoes. Varying tones of yellow, blue, peach, and taupe were in most of the other looks. There was a taste of classic Valentino sophistication through black and white looks, too, and in many of the careful cuts and shapes that the house so easily makes look effortless.
