Watches and Wonders 2026: Five Timepieces That Redefine the Art of Time

5 Timepieces That Redefine the Art of Time at Watches & Wonders 2026

Step into the magic. From ravishing perpetual calendars to diamond-set tourbillons, this year’s salon reveals a poetic convergence of innovation, heritage, and radiant design.

At Watches and Wonders 2026 in picturesque Geneva, time is staged, sculpted, and set into motion with tremendous clarity. Across the fair, maisons unveil creations that skillfully dissolve the boundary between technical mastery and emotional resonance. From the beguiling glow of perpetual calendars in darkness to the orchestration of sound within skeletonized cases, each watch becomes a precious universe unto itself.

Here, five exceptional brands—A. Lange & Söhne, CHANEL, H. Moser & Cie., Hublot, and Parmigiani Fleurier—offer defining visions of contemporary haute horlogerie.

A. Lange & Söhne: LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen”

In a feat of both engineering and atmosphere, A. Lange & Söhne introduces the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen”, a watch that quite literally glows with complexity.

Limited to just 50 pieces, the 41.9 mm platinum timepiece unites a tourbillon with stop-seconds and a perpetual calendar, arranged in the iconic off-center geometry of the LANGE 1. Its semi-transparent dial allows UV light to charge luminous displays, rendering every indication—from the outsize date to the moon phase—legible in darkness.

Inside, the newly developed caliber L225.1 comprises 685 components and offers a 50-hour power reserve. The moon-phase display, accurate to within one day over 122.6 years, unfolds across a celestial disc that shifts seamlessly from day to night. A study in contrast and transparency, the watch transforms precision into poetry, visible both front and back through sapphire crystal.

CHANEL: J12 X-RAY COCO GAME

With the J12 X-RAY COCO GAME, CHANEL dissolves the boundary between material and illusion. Limited to just 12 numbered pieces, this 38 mm creation is sculpted from sapphire crystal and white gold, rendering its inner workings seemingly suspended in air.

At its heart lies the Caliber 3.1, a manual-winding movement whose bridges and plates are also crafted from sapphire—an extraordinary feat requiring around seven days of assembly. The bracelet itself continues the spectacle, composed of sapphire links threaded with a line of 138 baguette-cut diamonds, contributing to a total of nearly 16 carats.

Every surface plays with light: the bezel, dial, and bracelet shimmer with precisely set diamonds, while blackened gold accents heighten contrast. Requiring approximately 1,600 hours of machining for its sapphire components, this watch is a feat of endurance and vision, an exploration of transparency as luxury.

H. Moser & Cie.: Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton

At once audible and visible, the Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton by H. Moser & Cie. transforms time into a sensory experience.

Housed in a 40 mm titanium case engineered as a resonance chamber, the watch places its minute repeater mechanism boldly on the dial side. Curved chimes and exposed hammers create a kinetic theater, while a one-minute flying tourbillon with a cylindrical hairspring—hand-formed and rooted in 18th-century marine chronometers—floats within the architecture.

Driven by the skeletonized HMC 909 caliber, composed of 415 components, the movement offers a remarkable 90-hour power reserve. The Funky Blue fumé sub-dial provides a moment of calm amid the mechanical intensity. Here, sound becomes structure, and structure becomes spectacle—an open-hearted declaration of horological artistry.

Hublot: Big Bang Impact One Million

With unapologetic brilliance, Hublot unveils the Big Bang Impact One Million, a timepiece where gem-setting becomes a force of motion.

Set with approximately 500 diamonds totaling 44.6 carats, the 45 mm white gold case radiates outward from a central flying tourbillon, forming a mesmerizing vortex. Baguette and fancy-cut diamonds are arranged in a complex interplay of invisible and closed settings, creating a three-dimensional architecture that pulses with light.

Powered by the manual-winding HUB9015 caliber, the watch offers a 120-hour power reserve. Its skeletonized tourbillon, supported from one side only, enhances both visual drama and technical difficulty. The piece required hundreds of hours of meticulous setting, with each diamond precisely calibrated to align within the intricate design.

A continuation of Hublot’s million-dollar lineage, this creation melds high jewelry with horological daring, an object that captures energy as much as it measures time.

Marking three decades of profound mastery, Parmigiani Fleurier returns to its origins with the Toric 30th Anniversary Collection, a trilogy that redefines the modern dress watch.

Comprising the Toric Petite Seconde, Toric Quantième Perpétuel, and Toric Chronographe Rattrapante, each limited to 30 pieces, the collection explores purity, calendar complexity, and chronographic precision. Central to all three is the introduction of a hand-hammered gold dial, crafted through around 60 manual operations, resulting in a surface that shimmers with light and individuality.

Movements are equally refined, featuring rare solid gold bridges adorned with hand-guilloché patterns such as Clou de Paris and Filet sauté. The perpetual calendar model requires correction only once per century, while the rattrapante chronograph, beating at 5 Hz, measures time to the tenth of a second.

Rooted in neo-classical architecture yet deeply contemporary, the Toric collection embodies what the maison calls “Private Luxury,” a restrained, intimate elegance that reveals itself slowly to the discerning eye.
