Valentino at Palazzo Avino

A Valentino Escape at Palazzo Avino on the Amalfi Coast

The Hotel Debuts a Valentino Pop-Up

On April 6, the Palazzo Avino in Ravello opened for the new season, offering dynamic property renovations, a meditative art exhibition, a dazzling white wine from the hotel’s very own vineyard, and a special partnership with iconic Italian fashion house Valentino. In the form of a stylish pop-up and vibrant takeover of the hotel shop, Valentino brings the Escape 2023 collection to the legendary resort. Situated on a medieval hilltop, the boutique hotel affectionately known as “Pink Paradise” is a sprawling, blush-colored Shangri-La, fit with 43 idyllic guest rooms, an open-air spa, and the exclusive Clubhouse by the Sea. Guests are immersed in heavenly views where lush mountains meet glittering sea, while settling into the culinary masterpieces of Rossellini’s—the hotel’s Michelin star restaurant—and the fragrant cocktails of the Lobster & Martini Bar

Just 15 minutes from the hotel by complimentary shuttle lies the divine Clubhouse, where the Italian maison has created a romantic beach club experience fit with rose red chaise lounges, umbrellas, and accessories bearing the dashing Valentino V. Chic guests will surely be donning the shimmering Valentino caftans, vintage-inspired headwraps, luxe mini-dresses, and colorful swimsuits all season long. “Growing up in an Italian family when talking about fashion, Valentino was the brand, was the designer, and is linked to Italian history so deeply, I could not think of a better partner to align our hotel with,” explained Managing Director and Co-Owner of the Palazzo Mariella Avino

Refresh mind, body, and soul

Whether simply floating in the heated swimming pool, feasting at the Clubhouse restaurant under Valentino’s shade, or relaxing in a Turkish steam bath followed by a decadent massage at the full-service spa, each day offers new opportunities for peaceful indulgence to renew mind and spirit. The icing on the cake is the hotel’s nearby Pink Closet; Alight with gold chandeliers, luscious pink walls, and spacious mirrors, the ethereal space offers a thoughtfully curated array of stylish garments designed by local artisans, as well as delightful beauty products, leaving guests celebrating La Dolce Vita from head to toe.

Palazzo Avino’s latest additions include the Inferno Suite, created by renowned architect Giuliano Dell’Uva, which boasts a private terrace and unforgettable views from the tallest point of the fantasy-like resort. “The starting point of this project was imagining a space immersed in the beauty of this breath-taking landscape and ancient architecture, with an Eastern look,” explained Dell’Uva, who fully embraced the “Mediterran Law” of designing a space with vibrant hues which always gazes directly onto the sea.

“First of all, I wanted the project to be a recovery, strongly rooted in the history of the place,” adds Avino on the renovation. “I imagined that color could enter the space, to mirror the great beauty outside. For years I had admired architect Dell’Uva’s attention to a place’s history and his ability in enhancing the outlines with colors and a timeless touch. He perfectly managed to reach both objectives, and now we leave it to our guests to admire and hopefully appreciate the details.”

Appreciating Italian cuisine and artistry

Sisters Mariella, Attila, and Maria-Vittoria newly launched the glorious Mar-a-vi-glia white wine, made exclusively at the Palazzo’s vineyard La Cascinetta, as a love letter to the dreamlike region. A glass of Mar-a-vi-glia pairs perfectly with the finely-curated menu at Rossellini’s, serving guests from April through October, where a myriad of regional wines can be sampled throughout your culinary journey. The hotel is brimming with dining options, from Terrazza Belvedere for unforgettable pasta and petite bites, to Caffe Dell’Arte for refreshing cocktails and snacks alongside the delicate melodies of the Palazzo’s pianist. Nearby, a new art presentation of photographs by Marco Gualazzini, titled “Photographic Notes: Underground History,” is a meaningful exploration of human rights set within mother nature’s breathtaking landscape.
