On the night of September 8 at 47 Wooster Street in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, global accessories brand BUSCEMI opened its new brick-and-mortar flagship store to the public. Inside, we got an eyeful of lavish details on display, including three gold pyramids—similar in architecture to the Louvre Museum’s opulent above ground structures—and an opulent shoe salon awaiting guests in the back room. The space also showcases the brand’s luxe “100MM” sneaker, a pair of glamorous soles featuring 175 grams of 18-karat gold and over 11 carats of diamonds.
Between spirits by Ketel One Vodka, Perrier-Jouët, and Kim Crawford Wines, music by the Umbrella Boyz and legendary DJ Stretch Armstrong, we mingled alongside founder Jon Buscemi and other notable guests like: Hollywood stars Sofia Richie and Scott Disick; models Jasmine Sanders and Lais Ribeiro; recording artists Travis Mills, Black Atlass, Young Paris, Rich the Kid, and Chaz French; artist Harif Guzman, Jennifer Lopez’s beau and dancer Casper Smart, NFL player Dale Moss; and designers Warris Ahluwalia and Phillip Lim.
To celebrate the BUSCEMI’s first three years, the new spot offers men, women, and children something much more special than the average shoe or backpack. With a design studio in Italy, headquarters in Los Angeles, and a showroom in Paris, the brand shines with the ultimate care of craftsmanship, design, and culture. In addition to the store’s generous footwear and accessories offerings, the BUSCEMI Gallery will also showcase seasonal projects and artist collaborations.
