Last night, ACRIA’s “Unframed” silent auction and dinner raised $500,000 in funding going towards the Artist’s Ending AIDS Fund, which helps provide treatment and prevention education to people at risk or living with HIV/AIDS.
Hosted by Jason Wu, the event was held at Paula Cooper Gallery in New York. The silent auction, curated by Steven Henry, featured a selection of 30 works, including pieces from Glenn Ligon, John Baldessari, and Jasper Johns.
Since the ACRIA’s initiation 25 years ago, the annual “Unframed” event has sold more than 1,000 works of art, raising more than $10 million. Notable guests included Romee Strijd, Eva Fehren, John Cheim, and Michael Maccari.
