Last Wednesday, the Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND) held its 6th annual benefit and auction, dubbed “All Souls Eve.” It was a night of drinks, dinner, dancing, and immersive performances held at Ebell of Los Angeles and hosted by founder and curator of the non profit, Shamim M. Momin in collaboration with Artsy, Cameron, and Craig Thornton.
“We are thrilled by the outpouring of tremendous generosity from our incredible family of supporters, without which our upcoming year of ambitious programming would not be possible, particularly our first major international exhibition in Paris, Wasteland, which features 15 Los Angeles-based artists. The gorgeous setting of the Ebell and all of the enthusiasm demonstrated through guests’ outfits perfectly encapsulated what LAND is about: inspiring community through contemporary art, and creating unforgettable experiences in unique spaces. The caliber of the artists and supporters that came out is testament to the importance of what LAND does, and we are humbled and forever grateful,” said Momin.
Over 200 guests enjoyed cocktails by Casa Dragones and a portrait installation from Sue de Beer, before sitting down for a dinner that included a surprise drag show from Jen DeNike. The live auction that followed, headed by Eliza Osborne, included work from artists like Diana Al-Hadid, Mark Bradford, Alex Da Corte, Jim Drain, Eve Fowler, Aaron Young, and Lisa Anne Auerbach.
