Last night, amfAR, the foundation for AIDS Research threw their first ever benefit during Art Basel Miami Beach in the tent at the Soho Beach House. In keeping with the art-centric theme of the week, TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art ran a silent auction featuring photographs by Robert Rauchenberg, Cindy Sherman, Ryan McGinley, and Steven Klein. The event is part of amfAR’s Inspiration event series, which uses men’s fashion as a conduit to raise funds for AIDS research.
At the tent on the beach, Solange Knowles DJed while guests munched on meat balls (which were delicious), shrimp, croquettes, risotto, and crab and lobster cakes. The event was a huge success and every photograph was sold, raising money and attention for amfAR’s work. Among those in attendance were Kenneth Cole, Joseph Altazurra, Chloe Sevigny, and Cindy and Howard Rachofsky.
