In Miami for the busy art week, and wondering where to eat, see art, or relax? In Whitewaller Miami, we hear from a group of insiders that share their personal favorites. Below, we hear from artist Angel Otero.
WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
For a stylish date night, it’s Los Fuegos at the Faena Hotel for a famous Francis Mallmann steak. I love going to Joe’s Stone Crab, too, and always get the Key lime pie. At lunchtime, there’s The Wynwood Yard, perfect for a break between visiting the galleries to see what’s happening in the street food scene.

WHERE TO SEE ART
I’ve made PAMM a destination since it opened, and always appreciate the de la Cruz Collection. The sculpture and public art in front of The Bass Museum is incredible, too. I can sit out there for a long time!
WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
I have fun everywhere in Miami, but you can’t beat a night at Le Bain, on the roof of The Standard. Perfect weather, music, and drinks is a dangerous combination! I often end up at Mac’s Club Deuce, the last real bar left in Miami. For the quintessential Miami experience, you’ve got to go to Mango’s Tropical Cafe, for salsa and merengue dancing.
