On Tuesday evening, Artadia hosted its 15th anniversary benefit auction at the home of Karen and Dennis Mehiel. Artadia is a national nonprofit that supports artists and fosters connections to a network of opportunities. Its active awards programs are located in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Guests of the benefit, including Director of NADA Heather Hubbs, Director and Chief Curator of the Aspen Art Museum Heidi Zuckerman, and art advisors Kim Light and Rachel Uffner, and founder of Artadia Chris Vroom, enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an auction preview before the live auction. Auctioneer Gabriella Palmieri of Sotheby’s presided over the main event and many lots sold. The auction included experiential items with Matthew Day Jackson, Rashid Johnson, and Marilyn Minter and other works by Ryan McNamara, N Dash, David Kramer, Cindy Sherman, and Robert Polidori. The night was a success and raised $250,000.
