Aspen Art Museum’s Winter Benefit The Now 2016 Raises $550K

On December 28 in Aspen, CO, the Aspen Art Museum held its annual winter benefit dubbed “The Now 2016.” The evening raised over $550,000 toward museum programming.

While enjoying cocktails and caviar, guests like Marianne Boesky, Domenico and Eleanore De Sole, Richard Edwards, Kitzia and Richard Goodman, Karin Luter, Nicola and Jeff Marcus, Nancy and Bob Magoon, Larry and Susan Marx, John and Amy Phelan, Katie and Amnon Rodan, Rachel Rose, Meg and David Roth, John and Jan Sarpa, June and Paul Schorr, Tom Sachs and Sarah Hoover, had the chance to bid on a silent auction and experience a fashion presentation by Dennis Basso.

“The Now represents the immediacy of culture and ideas—what we are all about. Bringing the event into the museum was a pinnacle of a lot of efforts,” said the museum’s CEO and Director Heidi Zuckerman before welcoming Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper to the stage.

Later, Sotheby’s Chairman Andrea Fiuczynski conducted the live auction with the highest bid going to a work by Fred Tomaselli.
