For the past six years Atelier Swarovski has tapped the worlds most sought after luminaries across the disciplines of design, fashion, jewelry, and architecture to create luxury pieces that intentionally blur the lines of fashion, art, and design.
For this year’s fall/winter collection the brand partnered with Christopher Kane, Lady Gaga costume designer Zaldy, and multi-disciplinary renaissance man Arik Levy; all of whom presented re-interpretations of their past Atelier collections. First time collaborator Fredrikson Stallard also debuted a stunning collection inspired by the contrast between the precision of Swarovski crystal cuts and the softness of mirror-polished domes. The result is a playful, color-filled exploration of how structure plays into the refraction of light.

Kane revisited his iconic “Bolster” collection, this time providing new silhouettes and updated seasonal palettes which incorporated deep greens, dark indigos, and crystal bronze. Stage wear designer Zaldy’s immensely popular spring/summer 2012 “Shadow” collection held on to its signature bold, geometric shapes. However, the designer introduced a number of new styles and a more luminous palette which created a slightly more whimsical look.
The Atelier also revisited Levy’s fall/winter 2011 “RockCraters” collection with the designer taking care to continue his exploration and celebration of “futuristic nature.” Using organic shapes set in highly designed pieces that remind us of geodes, Levy manipulates the reflection and shine of his materials to create a fascinating, textural juxtaposition between the manmade and natural world.
